Gordon has been a keen student of nature for more than fifty years. The beauty that surrounds us on this planet is a treasure that we can all enjoy if we but take the time. Gordon has pursued the challenge of capturing this beauty on film so that others could share some of the magical moments with him. His images are made on 35mm and medium format colour print film.

His work has graced calendars, greeting cards and been used as gift presentations for guest speakers and hosts to teachers in several countries. His photos appear in elementary science texts and he has been a photographer for Tourism Saskatoon as they prepared for brochures and slide presentations at the international and national level.

Since his retirement eight years ago Gordon has volunteered hundreds of hours teaching landscape photography to children of the Saskatoon Public School Division while they attend the Brightwater Environment and Science Center. It is his goal to instill in youth a sense of appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds them.

Gordon has also been invited to teach nature photography at the United Church of Canada's Prairie Christian Training Center located in the scenic Qu'appelle Valley of southern Saskatchewan. This is an event which allows parents and their children to learn and have fun together.
